Elektra: Assassin

So, I have finalized which is going to be my fourth and final graphic novel that I will teach in my class this coming December: Elektra: Assassin. In researching, this particular book has been deemed by Frank Miller himself to be his crowning achievement and I also like the fact it is a female hero as well; another aspect I absolutely love about this book is the artwork. So, in all, my graphic novel unit will consist of the following books - Hellboy #1, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen # 1, Batman: Year One and Elektra: Assassin. I haven’t finalized the unit plan yet, but the basic concept will see 4 different groups complete a series of assignments (written/oral/visual) to which I will be their basic facilitator. I have all of these books in a pdf file on computer (thanks to Steve Colvin!) to which I will give each student and then they will work on it from there. I am very excited about trying this out in the classroom and hope it is successful with the students - remember, ideas from all of you are still very much needed - I would also like to thank Mom and Dad and Judy for helping me out in getting the books over here to me in China. The countdown is on!
