Mid-Autumn Festival

moon

Yes, with the harvest moon in full view last night all the people in China were celebrating the annual mid-autumn moon festival; basically this is the Chinese version of Thanksgiving. And what do the people do during this festival? Well, they get together with family and eat lots of fruit (good for soul) and mooncakes: a mooncake is kind of like a tart but without any flavor (some are not bad). Then, what would a festival in China be without fireworks? It wasn’t too bad last night, but there was enough to know that something big was in the air.
