Chinese Championships of Crokinole

May 18, 2007

Yes folks, tonight is a historic night in the Middle Kingdom. Tonight at 6:00pm down at the Robin Bar in Kaifaqu, the 1st ever top-stakes crokinole matches will be played in China. What are the stakes? A trip to the World Crokinole Championships in Tavistock, Ontario on June 2nd. Now, while it will be difficult/impossible for our champion to make it to Tavistock on that day, the honor of earning a birth into the World Championships is, in fact, a reality. Since creating this event, I have been in regular contact with the organizers of the World Championships and they have graciously agreed to honor our champion with a seat in their tournament - so, the pressure is on tonight and the stakes are high! Stay tuned for the results…
